I'm using a document template in Word (Office 97) that contains form fields. Word's spellchecker does not work in the form fields, locked or unlocked.

I tried a macro I found online, but it only works some of the time and crashes the program more often than not. I've also tried using Office 2000, but same issue there.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a different macro that might work, a 3rd party app that could do it or whether or not upgrading to XP would make any difference.

Here's a link to the macro I've tried already.

Thanks in advance for any help.
