How do I delete files on temporary internet files? I have downloaded too much stuff and have no space left to print a page on Word. How can I tell what all I've downloaded? I do not want to uninstall all the stuff I.ve downloaded, but I need to free up some space.

Also how do I download items from Outlook Express to CD?

Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

For your first question, you should delete your Temporary Internet Files (all of them) on a somewhat regular basis. However, the amount of temp internet files you have on your computer should not take up so much space so as to prevent you from printing in Word. The temp interenet files are set to a maximum number of MB that the computer will store. Typically, this is a small fraction of your overall harddrive space. But, if you want to delete only some of the temp interent files, you can.

With Internet Explorer open, go to Tools and then select Settings under Temporary Internet files section. Next, click on View Files. This will allow you to delete whatever temp internet files that you want.

If you accidently delete a file in here, it shouldn't cause any problems with your computer. The only purpose of the Temporary Internet Files is to allow you to have faster viewing capabilities of your regularly visited internet sites.

In the end, I would recommend deleting all of your Temporary Internet Files on a regular basis. Personally, I delete all of my temp files on a daily basis.

For your second question, I'm not really for sure what you are trying to do.

Sorry for the lengthy reply!!

The best way (IMO) for someone with Win 98, Win 98 1/2 (aka SE), or Win 98 3/4 (aka ME), is to set your "maintenance wizard" to automatically delete your cookies for you on regular basis.

You can find it by hitting Start/ Programs/ Accessories/ System tools/ Maintenance Wizard.

Also, another easy way to do it manually is to click on "tools" while you are using IE/ then Internet Options/ then Delete Cookies.

One more option is to click on tools in IE and then click on the Advanced tab and under Security check the box "empty tempory internet cookies when browser is closed." This will get rid of most of the cookies you pick up but not all; you'll still need to do it either thru the wizard or manually thru Start/ c:drive/ windows/ temporary internet cookies/ then click first file and hold down control and press A, then right click and hit delete (if you're using IE 5.0 or later you're done, if it's IE 4.0 you got to keep clicking 'til they are done).
