I have a soundblaster live 1024, after installing de soundcard in windows ME, is there a conflict with my cd-rom, maybe is it a IRQ conflict, but i don't no what to do. Thanks already.

I have the same sound card and I had to extract the vmcpd.vxd file from the Windows me cd, add it to the windows\system\vmm32\ directory, remove the hardware drivers and reinstall them in order to get the card to work.

wow, what does that exactly do for the sound card dan
i have a sb512 that has scratchy noises at low volume levels. will converting a file similar to that one fix this?
