Comment:

I downloaded a radio broadcast of Feb. 21 2005 ( the day the L.A. preacher Dr. Scott died) from democracynow.org The sound is very rapid, as if it was recorded at 3and 3/4 ips but played back at 7 and 1/2. Is there any way I can slow it down? Thanks

What's the model of your computer?

What type of file is it - what's it's extension?

A problem like that is often caused by you having the wrong sound driver version loaded, or they are too old and need to be updated to a newer version.
The right sound drivers are probably in the downloads for your HP model. There may also be updates there. If you got them elsewhere, you might be using the wrong version. E.g. Many computer mboards have built in ADI sound chips that use SoundMax sound drivers - there are many different versions of the drivers.
