My sound has suddenly stopped working. When I check the volume through contol panel/sound it will not let me move the toggle to the right. When I try to adjust the volume via the start menu/accessories/entertainment nothing happens when I click volume. I don't know what to do . . .

Thanks,

Brian is there a chance that you somehow knocked the sound card loose?

Just before this condition started did you:

-do any downloading?
-load or download a new radio player?
-been messing with Kazaa?

You have AOL. My experience with AOL tells me there is at least a 50/50 chance it is AOL if you have downloaded a player or radio station that is not AOl subscribed...one of the reasons I got out of AOL, only one of. . .

Recheck control panel > sounds and media and go through the sounds and voice tabs, 'volume' and 'advanced' options and see if the settings are at "full" and good" in both of them.

If any of these settings do not solve the problem, and if your sound card is seated, it's over my head, and since you aren't getting much response here, try posting here also:
