Sound Card Driver

I have just reinstalled windows for a friends machine. Only problem is that they have lost the sound card driver and they don't have a clue what it is, there is also no indication on the card as to what make it is . Windows detects an audio device but does not have any default drivers. Is there any software that will detect the make of card or are there generic drivers I can use.

Thanks for that but it still wont tell me the name of the card as it only reads the software drivers. To which none are installed

I have problem in my sound card. Sound is ok but mic. is not working. My sound card is soundpro cmi 3880 inbuilt in mother board. can u help me?
