I have posted this problem before with no success. I have a Sony Z505LS computer that is about 3 years old. It has an Intel Pentium III processor at 750MHz and a 20GB HD. The computer hasnt really successfully started up for two years now until a week ago. The computer would not respond to anything but I would get different responses when I added RAM or took out the CMOS battery. I had given the laptop to my friend to take a look at and he couldnt find anything really wrong with it(he repairs computers for a living). When I got it back after he hadnt touched it for weeks, it miraculously started up. When I first started it up, it was EXTREMELY slow. I mean it would take 20 mins to start up completely. I said screw it and I hard shut down and turned on the computer again with success. The computer then was at its regular speed and seemed to work just fine. It was about one in the morning so I decided that the computer was alright because I restarted it several times. I shut down the computer for the night to recharge the battery and it looked fine(the battery charge light was going). I woke up on the morning but the computer would not turn on. The blinking light stopped blinking and nothing worked. The most I can get the computer to do now is get the lights to blink after I remove the battery and let it sit for a while. If I hold the power on switch for about 5 seconds, the orange battery charge light comes on and I can do the sequence all over again. I REALLY want this computer to work so I can use it for school. Any help is appreciated and if you want, you can email me with suggestions. Thanks for any help you can give.

I have tried all loose connections and everything. I have disconnected various things and when the computer started up, one plug was not in(the cmos battery). I have tried all possible combinations with no luck. Please help me out.
