Someone, please help! I have been able to install Windows Me on my SONY VAIO PCG705 and everything runs fine EXCEPT that the notebook cannot recognize the docking station PPCGA-DH7 anymore and ask for a PCI-TO-PCI Bridge driver, I tried Sony support but they do nor support Windows Me on PCG series notebooks. If you found a solution please help me.

Sorry, I have nothing to offer but a similar experience with SONY tech support. I have a PCG-Z505, and after formatting and reinstalling Windows ME, I found that I needed a particular file (PC_INFO.exe)to allow installation of updates from SONY's Web site. After multiple emails, I finally called tech support, and was told "Sorry, we don't support WinME, unless we install it." They were no help at all. Luckily, I don't need the file that badly!

I scraped my pcg-705 due to many issues and do not have the restore cd. I cannot find the drivers for Windows 95 or 98! Sony is no help at all! They won't even sell me a restore disk! Where can I find the drivers? PS - I did find NT 4.0 drivers at the sony support site, but I really need the laptop for my digital camera and would really like to use Win 98 with it's USB compatibility. Help.
