Many (not all) web pages are too slow and impossible to scroll. These are usually the ones where I need to add information, i.e. ordering goods or filling out information.
Is there anything to prevent this? I have broadband connection and it's only my computer this happens on, the pages are ok on other computers.

Have you tried anything? such as a disk-cleanup,an IE repair, spyware scan?
What version of IE? Fully updated?

hello
might be spyware running.
d/l spybot search and destroy,update it,run it.dl ad-ware do the same.••• Resistance is invigorating! •••kill spyware

Thank you both for your suggestions. I'm using IE6, and regularly run ad-aware, disk clean up, internet cleaner, registry cleaner etc., (at least once a week). I will try spybot though, thanks

Hi,
The worst site I have problems with is www.bol.com. First page is relatively ok, but when I start browsing and searching through book pages, all clicks of the mouse have a delayed reaction of at least a minute.
Some examples, typing the name of a book in the search box it doesnt appear for ages. Scrolling down the page is slow and jerky.
Thanks for your interest.

I had no prblems browsing all over that site...with XP Pro/IE6.(I also have ME,but never wanted to try/install IE6 on it,so I can't try to duplicate the problem that way)
Maybe a reinstall of mouse software/update of drivers?
A repair or reinstall of IE6?
Do you have a restore point available to revert to?

I don't know anyone else who has the same problems. It's been happening for so long that since it started i've had a new mouse, but I will try re-installing IE6 again. I did wonder if it was anything to do with Jave (though I know little of this) and have tried all the java installs with no success.
I'll let you know if re-installation of IE6 is of any help.
Thanks again
Lynda
