then an msbb user.exe thing pops up...and it crashes...

my computer is in japanese as well so i can't read most of it!

things ive done:
downloaded kazzaa,
bullguard,

not updated windows (i can't because i can't open up explorer),

no update on norton which has been replaced by bullguard... ,

installed avast which said i had some virus but then the computer shutdown too fast w32.netsky or nimbus [tri] something like that...

norton emergency disk said i had nothing after a full scan...

ran beagle fix... virus not detected...

can't even open up the hijackthis.exe or adware6.exe files! computer crashes right away...

girlno3, may not be the answer, but if I were you...
Step 1. get in safe mode.
Step 2. Delete Kazaa (notorious source for ALL manner of nasties. Bullguard??? Hard to beat Norton.)
Step 3. If you are running ME, don't forget to DISABLE RESTORE before cleaning in order to make the fix permanent!
Step 4. CLEAN system (scan with whatever turns you on)
If you insist on having Kazaa so you can swap some tunes, get the lite version. Reported to be the same minus all the nasties, FWIW.
HTH.
