I have been having problems with IE moving toooo slow when I click from one site to another, even when I click back to a previous page(sometimes). I have ran scandisk, disfragment and disk cleaup. I've unchecked HTTP 1.1 and HTTP 1.1 with proxy, still doesn't help. I've set my browser security to medium-no change. I just recently went to ADD/REMOVE and used IE repair, but that didnt help either. What is making my pc run so slowly just when online? Could it be the websites or my IP? Please advise. Thanks! Could be Adware/Spyware/Trojans using your internet link. Have you ran a good updated Anti virus scan, Adware/Spyware scan like Ad-Aware or Spybot? There can also be problems with Automatic Windows Update due to corrupted control files. Have you checked through all of the items in ME Fixes

well..MonkeyBrain I have the same problem sometimes too and I found out it was my isp, cause I tested my pc at a friend's place with his ISP and found out it was much faster there. They want ( my isp) to get everyone to drop the dial up account and switch to cable..). If it is possible for you, test your pc with another isp, like at a friend's.. Let us know and good luck!

Agree with the first response. You should be infested with spywares. They appear like magic. I run Ad-ware twice a day and always finds some ad-spyware.
Summary: I found this on here while searching. I think it is illegal for an ISP to intentionally slow down dial-up internet connections so you would opt for a costlier cable or dsl connection and I am not eve...
