that's a WinME issue.. i say this because we sell different types of computers at work.. hibernate is an issue, can you just disable it and shut the computer down when your done? i don't mean to sound sarcastic, but i know this is an issue because i get this all of the time at work. sorry for the lack of help? -kelly

yea i agree kelly, sleep/standby/hibernate is a piece of $h!t.....just shut it down. But if you must have it run, definitely try this out:
1. go to control panel, then system
2. go to device manager tab
3. click on the + beside system devices
4. look for acpi power button or acpi system button, or it may be acpi bios or acpi generic bus.
5. On both the acpi system button and acpi power/bios/generic bus, double click on each (one at a time) and look for the option to put a check in "disable in this hardware profile" and check it. Hit OK/Apply and then double click on it again, and hit the ENABLE button then close out of there and reboot.
6. Try the hibernation, see if that works.
7. If not then go to the device manager again, and on the others that I mentioned above that didn't have the disable in this hardware profile, just highlight each of them and hit the REFRESH button. Then reboot and try it out.
***Other than that don't know what to tell you, try doing the ctrl-alt-del before hibernation and shut down everything but explorer and systray and see if its something running that messin' w/ it. If it is to be fixed then the above stuff will do it. Windows still hasn't gotten it right after all these years.......
good luck
William
