Shutdown problems

Comment:
Have looked at the shutdown probelems of other ME users, but mine is different inasmuch as my ME has been working fine until lately, and I never get a blue screen.
When I shut down I get Not Responding and have to End Task. The culprits are usually MSQRV32 or ACCOR32. Then the shutdown is ok. Sometimes I do get a normal shutdown but then power does not shut off. What is happening, and can someone fix it for me?

It's not a matter of (dubious) 3rd party software, it's plain old fashioned detective work - however, since it involves thinking, that approach is undesirable to many
