Shutdown problem

Hi,
The message "It is now safe to turn off your computer" has stopped appearing after shutdown and machine switches off while C: drive is still active.

Some machines shut down automatically. Did you play with some setting in the BIOS. There is usually an option where you can have a self power down. If this is so, nothing is wrong.

No, haven't touched the BIOS settings. It must have been something I downloaded. FWIW, I updated my display drivers last week.
