That means that something is attempting to start in "Regenv32" but can't since a driver or file is missing. If you upgraded to ME than a real mode DOS driver is the culprate. If you have a clean install a device driver is at fault. To resolve this you will have to edit this file. The easy way to do that is to use MSCONFIG and shut things down untill you no longer see the error. Find out what that application is and remove it. Odds are that real mode sound drivers are attempting to load. If that is the case boot to safe mode and remove the sound card and all of the emulation devices from the device manager. Shut down the machine and remove the sound card. Boot the system without the card. You might get a different error message yet the one that you were getting should stop. Next download only the current drivers for the card. Save them on your desktop. Shut down the system. Reinsert and fasten the card. Boot your system and do not allow theat card to be installed. Once you get to the desktop execute the driver installer that you downloaded and auto detect will pick up that card. You will be asked for a reboot and simply click OK. The card should be fully functional. I am assuming that this would be for the gameport/joystick. Yet I could be misinformed and another running application or device could be at fault. Regardless to find out the VXD you should begin with MSCONFIG. Type that into the RUN dialouge box. You can start unloading from the START UP GROUP and work your way over little by little. You might get lucky and get it on the first attempt.........Good luck!
