Comment:
whenever i right-click any Windows XP file and click properties, the correct 'last accessed' date is shown. but, whenever i check the properties of any Windows Me file, the 'last accessed' date is always shown as 'Today'. how can i get the properties dialog box to display the correct 'last accessed' date? or, is there any third-party software that gives absolutely correct 'last modified' as well 'last accessed' dates?

Go to the folder you want to see the dates for, then click the 'view' tab on the top of your screen and set to details (this gives you the 'modified' date for all files in that folder) also right click on the bar which says 'modified' then click 'more' and add 'accessed', this will give you the last accessed dates.
note: It only gives you the date NOT the time.
also: This is a windows ME forum, however it should be a very similar process for XP.
