Hi,
Does anyone here know how to make a short cut on desktop to hibernate the monitor in powersaving mode. I am refering to Display Properties / Screensaver / Power saving features of monitor.
I want a shortcut on the desktop instead of waiting for the time setting to activate it.
BTW if anyone is interested in Shutdown and Restart shortcuts:
For ShutDown
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL32.exe shell32,SHExitWindowsEx 1
For Restart
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL32.exe shell32,SHExitWindowsEx 2
[right click on desktop/New/Shortcut... and cut and paste the above in command line. Give it a name as ShutDown or Restart accordingly. You can also give a keyboard shortcut by rightclicking on the icon, moving cursor to Shortcut Key and pressing Shift+selected alphabet key. On the keyboard the shrtcut can be activated by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Selected Key

FOund this amazing little Wizmo that can do it and much more :-)

Download the file into Windows folder and make a shortcut with this command. Click on the shortcut and the monitor will switchoff -back on with a press of anykey/mouse. GREAT STUFF. More options are possible with different commands.
C:\WINDOWS\wizmo.exe monoff
