Please help me,this Shell32.dll error is ruining everything.When I try to open certain folders I get the message then the window closes.That is the most aggrivating thing.Will someone PLEASE help me fix this?And if so could you plese simplify it,I'm not very smart in computers.Thank you for your time.

If you have a Compaq computer, there's a known issue if the system.ini contains the line: Shell=c:\compaq\cpqshell.exe. If you are trying to open My Computer, Control Panel or Printer folder when this happens, this can be caused by your system running an old version of plug-in. To cure this, go to start, run and type win-ini and click ok. Remove the reference to plugin.exe from the load+line.
If you don't have a Compaq and it's not happening as described above, then it could be a potential hardware problem.
