Is it possible to turn off win ie? I saw a download but it was for 98 only. If not, would an upgrade to xp home solve this error? Thanx

do you have the windows me disk??
if so, bring up the sheel file in search.
right click and rename the file to
shell32.old
reboot to clear memory, and the n open msconfig in the run line. extract new file from the disk there

Hi chris, updating Internet Explorer may fix the shell32.dll errors....what task are you doing before you get these errors? What other programs do you have running in the background?
