I have several different problems with my computer: 1. Internet explorer does not work. I get the error message..."Iexplore has caused an error in OLEAUT32.dll" 2. I cannot get into Windows explorer it errors out due to runtime error. It totally closes down explorer. I can access the control panel using MS DOS and have tried to repair Internet explorer through the add/remove programs. It does not work. 3. I have run thorough scan disk and all errors were repaired but still does not help. 4. Can't access my documents. 5. Cant use Windows update due to Internet explorer not working. I can access the internet via Netscape.

Summary: This sounds like an irq conflict, most likely with the soundcard. When you reinstalled, did you also reinstall the updated soundcard drivers? If not, try that 1st. If so, check device manager for co...
