SETUP:The directory path..........

I putted in the "Microsoft wINDOWS operating system" in the floppy.........And then I had choosen [EXPRESS SETUP](ENTER)to reinstall WINDOWS ME.........I had asked to type the directory path (example:c:\Windows\Setup)but a windows appears and said:
Setup is unable to create the specified directory on the specified drive!
Can anybody tell me why?I had typed "c:\Windows\Setup!!!But why it can't continue?!

Perhaps you could start at the beginning. Are you booting to this floppy? Are you then attempting to install from CD? Have you partitioned (fdisked) the drive?

I had booted to the floppy and patitioned the drive......but i can't install Windows from the CD~~~Because i must have type the correct directory path......This is the problem!!!
