Setup and Booting Dual Hard Drives

I have no MS-DOS Floppy Disk that contains Sys.com file to start the computer to use to set up dual booting..My computer is a compaq presario 5004US..All I have is the Quick Restore CD...and a Recovery CD....How do I install the information off these cd's on the second hard drive D:\and how do I setup the both options of booting up the D:\drive or the c:\drive and run windows Me..Thanks Again

You may know this already.... To use this extra HD all you need to do is set its jumpers to match its position on the ide cable. As an example your HD is connected with a flat IDE cable to your motherboard. Some computers come with a cable that has an extra ide connector about half way between the motherboard and hd connections. If you have this cable connect the hd to the center connector and set its jumpers as slave. The drive if formatted will show up in windows explorer with its own drive letter.
I only inlcuded that information just incase and because i cant think of any reason to dual boot the same OS and because someone a while back thought he needed the operating system on the new hardrive to make it work. If dualbooting the same OS is what you want to do im not sure how it would be done with recovery cds. somethine like partition magic might allow you to do it. You might try contacting tech support at powerquest before buying it.
