Just a simple question that is probably pretty basic but I'm a little confused.

I am going to add a second hard drive as a slave to store music (i'm transferring a LP collection to MP3), the question is does the slave drive have to have an operating system,
or can I drag and drop files onto just a formated drive?
Thanks for any advise.

No OS needed. Just format, drag and dribble.

I thought I remembered that was the way it was but wasn't sure.

... it's a surprisingly common question, but sure - only one OS per computer is necessary
