I too have a problem with windows ME recognizing my second hard drive. Bios recognizes it. I did a reinstall and then a 'find new hardware' after disconnecting the second drive. But all to no avail. Help please.

Are your primary and secondary hard drives both hooked on the same IDE cable? If they are make sure that the jumpers on your secondary HDD are set to "slave" or else windows won't recognize it... but come to think of it, I don't think BIOS would recognize it either? I duinno, I'm a moron... hehehe but I tried! right?

I have a second hard disk running under ME with no probs what so ever. Even though the bios recognises the HD is the second IDE channel enabled in the bios? And are the jumpers set correctly on the hard disk?
If so then please give more details about your system and drive or Email me.

You will just have to check your cable and jumpers and redetect hard drives in the bios or set to auto. Its not the fault of windows.
