search system freezes

Hello, System freezes whenever I try to search for files or folders. window opens type in search field and the computer freezes every time. Thanks!

wodraeb, not sure I understand correctly. Are you entering what you want to search for and then just getting a blank and a freeze? If that's the deal, can't help, sorry. If not, question answered. Remember that smart as they may appear, these machines are just dumb rocks and must be guided at each step. HTH. Ed in Texas.

As soon as I enter what I want to search for and press search now, the computer freezes. Which I believe is what you have entered in the first section of your reply. So as you say, you can't help. But thanks for trying Ed much appreciated!
