scourged by popups, not fun times

I keep getting popups that show up seemingly at about 5 minutes to the hour all the time. I don't even have to be doing anything, they often show up while the internet is idle. They all come from the address ads1.revenue.net. AdAware, Spybot, and Mcafee VirusScan have all been unsuccessful in getting it, and I can't seem to find anything notably suspicious with HijackThis. Clues?

I have this same problem. I have run the CWshredder and it did not stop it.

I had that same pop-up....so much for Pop-Up Stopper, Zone Alarm, etc....and three antivirus programs didn't detect it. I did a search for ads1.revenue.net and ended up at the first message here...thanks for the advice! I ran CWShredder and Panicware Pop-Up Stopper Professional and one or both of them seems to have fixed it.

Summary: I agree that Dustbuster did not hurt anything. It's just that system restore has been a life saver and I did not want to compromise this in the future since some thought that it may not fully restore...
Summary: Sounds like yer just being nosy UNLESS you have made it very loud and clear that you are monitoring your computer and that everything is recorded and viewed by yourself at some time convenient to you....
