I may be the last to have discovered this but just in case:
After running Scandisk or Defrag. (in Windows) turn the Screensaver back on before re-booting.
I found that if I don't do this then I get "Windows cannot access the Registry...." when I re-boot.
It could be that this is just a quirk of my ME but if anyone else has it, that's the solution, (apart from doing it in Safe Mode of course)

This is not ME related, but interesting.I defragmented a freinds computer last nite(win95).It had not been done for 1080 days.I defraged in safe mode and the screen saver activated.I was under the impression that a screen saver would not activate in safe mode. The interesting thing is that the computer said the drive was only 6% fragmented.Maybe due to the small drive,1.5gig.He uses system daily, and has about 40% unused.
