I need to know how to run a report on Win ME. Long story, but basically someone has the ability to run reports on my system and keep a check on every program that's been used, everything I've typed, etc. I've caught a glimpse of the report, and it pulls up in a window titled "Report" and shows, in order, every program used, how long it was used for, etc. With programs like AOL Instant Messenger, it even shows what I've typed and responses from people. Supposedly, he did not install any keytracking program on my computer. Anyone have any ideas? I've been trying like crazy to figure this out and I can't. Is it some capability in Win ME?

Not that I ever heard of. Sounds like a keylogger to me.

This is, as stated above, a keylogger program. Use spybot to see if it spots it. http://security.kolla.de/

The only thing in Windows ME which has any capability to track you are the index.dat files in various locations (search for the name index.dat and then use notepad to open them to see what's in them - usually urls). Delindex from www.burzurq.com can remove index files. Also, some applications use log files.

i've been using spybot for awhile. and i do have it set to remove keyloggers. but i didn't have it set to remove usage tracks. could that be the problem?

there are lots of spy programs that spybot can't detect.

Either your roommate looks over your shoulder as you type or he installed spyware on your system.
