Well firstly, if you have multiple instances of programs in your start-up tab you will have to go into the registry to fix those. Secondly, not all of those have anything to do with Norton's. I would go here and take a look at what each of those programs are and then decide if you want to keep them running in the background. There are several that you will want to leave alone like "systray", "task monitor", "scan registry", and maybe "second chance".   HopeItHelps,   -me-

D-load and install real player, that'l give you 33.

And number 33 will certainly cause you problems if you don't already have them!

At bootup i have explorer,bcmdmmsg(a modem thing)and navapw32,98% recourses free.Don't even need sys tray. Whats running at startup is very important to system stability, kristopher don't need 80% of that sh**. My rig might crash once every three months, maybe.
