The subject says it all. I get a message from windows saying "scorched earth may not run well unless it is run in ms-dos mode. Do you want to change its shortcut properties to make it always run in ms-dos mode?" then i get the message saying that the program runs in ms-dos mode (real mode) which WinMe does not support and tells me to change the properties then i get "this shortcut tries to use ms-dos mode which is not suported in millenium. Do you want it to run in an ms-dos virtual machine instead? then it loops me back to the first message i typed.

This may not work, but create an MS-DOS shortcut to the program then go into the properties of the shortcut. On one of the menus there should be something that says 'Prevent MS-DOS programs from detecting Windows'.
