Running DOS in ME

I can start up DOS from the start menu, but I can't type anything. I could at one time somehow, but now it doesn't work again. Help!

What happens when you type command at the RUN box. Start >> RUN >> type command What do you see ? ...You should see C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\ ....Blinking cursor. Type and change directory. Does this work ?

If you have installed a multimedia Keyboard, you need to disable it while running DOS in a Windows BOX.
