Why would you use a tool for something that does not impact the operating system you are using?

Probably not since the OS folder is named different in Win ME then it is in Win2k or XP.
But I have to agree with Capt, why would you run a fix on a system that can't be affected by RPC exploitation viruses?

I have seen it on a Windows ME machine. Some guy was dumb enough to transfer files from an infected XP system to his ME system and run them, trying to find out what was wrong with this program he found on the XP system and if it was causing the strange problems on his XP system.
The blaster removal program ran fine and got rid of it. So I cleaned up his XP system for him to, hooked it (laptop) to my Cable and updated all his Windows Updates. He thought that the windows Update messages he was getting, that updates were available, meant that they had been installed, so he was clicking cancel. And he never stayed connected on his dial-up for more than five minutes. He did not know what a firewall was, much less how to enable the one in XP and thought his "free" AV that came with the system was good forever and did not need to be updated. Plus his teenage daughters were installing KaZaA on it every weekend and he was removing it every Monday morning. What a mess.
