Always when i try to open Control Panel or change the time of my computer i get an error (Rundll32 has caused an error in RUNDLL32.exe. Rundll32 will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer. With this error, i can't restart my computer or other things like this.. Please help me
Have you used a registry cleaning program recently (right before this started)?
If so restore the deleted entries that the program hopefully backed up. Some reg cleaning programs mark VarID entries as invalid and this can cause the problem you are experiencing.
If you cannot restore the backups the program made (if this is even the case), you can do a scanreg /restore to a time before this problem occurred. This can be done from start>run or from true DOS (must be reached by using a startup diskette). The space before the slash is necessary if you perform the procedure from within Windows. Be sure to close all running programs and disable antivirus before performing the procedure from within Windows. The only way this can be effective is if this problem occurred within the past five days as this is the default number of registry backups Windows keeps. Working registries will have the word "started" beside them, choose one from a time before the problems occurred.

Yes, i've run a disk cleaner, but, i remember that i deleted rundll32.exe accidently and i've looked in System Restore program but it's not there :(.

I downloaded rundll32.exe, i put it on C:\Windows but when i try to change my clock or whatever i get a crash.

Did you download the correct version of RunDLL32.exe for Windows ME. You should try using MSCONFIG program, Extract button to extract a clean copy of Rundll32.exe from the system CAB files or just drag and drop a copy from the C:\Windows\Options\Install\WIN_17.CAB folder.

whenever i try to open a program or run certain things, a notice comes up that says-
Windows cannotfind 'C:/Windows/rundll32.exe. You may have typed the name incorrectly in the run dialog, or another open program cannot find a system file. To search for a file, clixk the start button, and then click search.-
I don't understand this. Could rundll32.exe have gotten uninstalled cause it's not on there? I can barely use any programs. How do i download it or get a new one? please answer soon

I have exactly the same message.
From my observation.
1: I can not open any .exe program
2: Because of my anti-virus, it told my that it was a virus cald Backdoor.Optix.BI
I am using AVG anti-virus
3: the program detected 3 main infected files: msmsgr.exe, iecplorer.exe, rundll32.exe
4:Using the anti-virus it told me that it can not delete does file since they are critical, so I deleted those 3 files the manually.
5: I am not saying you have a virus put the situation seems very similarFinally my situation: Computer without those 3 files and cannot open any .exe
Please some help I did what I can do for the moment maybe more devollepement tomorrow
Ps: I am using Xp
