Comment:

Every time I start up Rundll32 performs an illegal operation, and I get a message "nqdetach" has performed an illegal operation...

Does anyone know what "nqdetach" is and how I can fix this problem? Thanks a lot for your help.

RUNDLL32 caused an invalid page fault in
module NEWDOTNET3_23.DLL at 0167:0225ab5e.

Does anyone have the solution to this problem. I've been searching for weeks already and nobody could come up with the solution. Maybe someone did but I can't seem to find it. If possibly resovlable then please send the solutions to me. Thanx You very much for your time and effort!

I have the same problem! I've been searching the net for anything to do with the NEWDOTNET3_23.DLL application but the only website that could offer help was in Spanish. Can someone please help? How did this problem come about? How can it be resolved?

Rundll32 refuses to shutdown. I've figured out a work around, but I would prefer to fix the problem. Any ideas?

The Run DLL utility (Rundll32.exe) included in Windows enables you to call functions exported from a 32-bit DLL.

There are many things that can cause this program to have problems. If you go to the Microsoft Support section and look at the "OE Fatal Exceptions", there are a lot of applications listed that can interfere with it. Or go to www.google.com/ and do a search on "rundll32".

I am working on a computer now that was having problems that were caused by a program called "weatherbug" that was on the machine.

my recommendations:

1. Scan your machine with an up to date V*rus program.

2. Download and run "Adaware", a FREE program that will find and remove all "spyware" files on your machine.

3. Download and run "End It All", a free program that will shut down all unnecessary programs. See if this will stop your Rundll32 problem.

Good luck..... John.

Me too!

Problems started last Tuesday (13th Nov). Now go to the stage where my favourite search engine (Web Ferret) won't run at all. Reinstalled Win ME tonight but that hasn't helped.

Oh boy.
