Run.dll 32 error

When i try to open word documents i get a run.dll 32 error and i cant open the document . also i can not locate system.ini to edit it with putting drivers=mm system.dll which i was told to do and dont know if it is right !
The system.ini is located by clicking on Start/Run and typing in the word msconfig, in the box that comes up you should be able to see it, on mine it is the 2nd tab
