Hi. I have just replaced my hard drive and rebooted Win Me. Right now, I got 2 CD-ROMS, D: and E: I usually use my E: but nowadays it causes an error whenever I uses it. One time there was a RUN TIME ERROR and the screen was blue and it said something about the hard drive. At that moment, all I can do is reboot. I figured it was something very important, so I want to know how I can fix this problem. Should I use Anti-Virus Programs such as McAfee? Should I defrag my computer? I need desperate help.

hello reboot to safe mode try system restore. allso goto device manager from there and look for any problems. and delete any ghost drives in there. you can do scan disk and defrag from there. you can try the scans listed on my home page for viruses. you might allso try removeing one cd rom and see if system improves. if not remove that one and reinstall the other/ try this link allso how to run m.e well verion 5 http://www.burzurq.com/forum/trevtweak.html

Thanks for your reply wawadave. I have tried system restore(in safe mode), but it did not allow me to go back because I have rebooted ME 2 days ago. I would like to try some other virus scanners, because I use one myself. Mines don't really fix errors like that. If I can help all of you, this is what I saw on the blue screen. ERROR : 06 : 016F : BFF9A7BA VMN32(05) + 000012DO ERROR : OE : 0028 : CO2A44A8 and before it said Cannot write to Hard Disk. Some data/disc files may be lost. ?????
