Hi-I have been having this problem for quite some time and I just couldn't take it anymore. Upon starting the computer up in the morning, the desktop comes up, the icons load and right before the computer is available, I receive the following errors, usually in this succession:
1) RPCRT2.dll caused an error
2) MSBB.exe caused an error
3) KERNEL32.dll caused an errorAfter I receive the last error, the computer locks up and I have to shut down and restart (manually, I can't even ctrl-alt-delete as the computer is totally frozen). Once the scan-disk is complete, it tries to load the desktop, the icons and the task bar and I usually get either the KERNEL32.dll error or MSBB.exe has caused an error in the KERNEL32.dll and the cycle starts again. This happens sometimes 3 times and once it did this 12 times in a row.
After I get the computer finally up and running, everything looks OK. I have restored, I have tried to see where these files are located and have ran out of options. Can someone help explain what these files do, what application the MSBB.exe is attached to and hopefully help me tweak something in my set-up that will keep this from happening??
Thanks so much! I am officially at my WITS end!

Go to Google, and type in MSBB.exe...search under the "Web" tab,and the "Groups" tab.Seems to be causing alot of people alot of problems in one way or another.Do some diggin',unless someone comes along that's more familiar with it than myself.
good luck

MMBB.exe is part of Advertising Spyware packages.
I have no sympthy for users with system problems caused by "free" adware supported packages, and the tons of Spyware and Adware programs like MMBB.exe that come hidden in them, as they chose to install all this "free" stuff. And then leave these Adware programs on their system, even if they remove the "free" application.
I run ADAware_Lavasoft.nu at least once a week just to make sure none of this junk has slipped into my system.

i, too, have major problems with MSBB.exe seems to pop up whenever it wants---freezes the computer---often have to reboot. pain in the arse!! how DO you diable/terminate it??

I picked up msbb.exe from adware called eZula. I don't recall ever installing the carp, but it has been a pain to remove. It gets in your registry. I found a removal procedure at www.wiryweb.com/removeezula.htm . I haven't completed the removal yet, so wish me luck.
C
