Hi, I've got a litte problem with my Windows ME. When I'm workin in the (File)Explorer and klick on the right mousebutton on a file (i.e. to delete a file) I always have to wait several minutes (about 15 Sec). I know that this is NOT normal. But how can I fix this problem is there an chance? Please help me :-) THX CU AJ

Microsoft has recognized the slow reaction of the right-click menu and suggests that reducing the amount/size of other running programs might help. They offer no other help... see Knowledge Base article below 267397 'Open With' Dialog Box Takes Long Time to Open Windows ME ------------ When you right-click a file and click Open With, or Choose Program from the Open With menu, it may take a long time for 'Open With' dialog box to open. CAUSE - If you have numerous programs installed on your computer, building the 'Open With' list could take some time. (only occurs first time opened each session) STATUS - Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem. Last Modified 8/7/02 --------------------------- the basic problem with WinME is that it uses substantial portions of memory just for the restore feature.. leaving little for any other program. I know it's not much help, but that's all I can offer.
