... maybe you mean "mucus"? (although I'm not sure why)

Your post is hard to follow, but that 'package' is known to have caused problems for others here (Win9x forum)

Safe Mode System Restore might undo it, but your machine's status is unclear at this point

Ok ill explian it better. I dont Know what this is but i found it some where all i know about it is its called Revolution Pack 4 for windows 9x/me. ok i installed it on Me And then immedentlly installed it on another pc with a Quad-boot of XP NT s/w 98se. Now i look at the other compuer and realize it off.
So i turn it back on and Windows me screen came up and then went to the background then black with a meesage that dissapered so fast i couldnt read it because the compuer shutoff. Safe mode nothing works eccept a bootable disk. So any ways i go back to the (8 pc and boot 98 and it worked fine. this pack added like a very bad rip-off of the windows xp media center edition gui. Now im stuxk withit just guest ill reinstall 98. but the this is i ahve tons of music on the Me Pc but dont want to get rid of it. i started to dellete files and directories one bye one and it would take an eternatie. I dont have the option to upgrade to Xp becuase for some reasone this computer is like Nt incompatible nothing works not even NT 3.1 .Is there a boot disk out there that could load the usb ports and an USB flash drive. Could i use the XP cd to do thisi remember getting something like a dos promt in it befor.

Well, as I mentioned in my response, YES, that package is a known source of problems, so no need to go into any detail on that aspect.

All you've really done is make me wonder just what OS you are running - you sound like what is known as a 'dabbler' - you're playing around with a variety of systems, but you've yet to develop any real skill or understanding in any single one.

IF you're actually running ME, this link may help:

How to Start the System Restore Tool from a Command Prompt

If not, well, good luck then, and try not to install things just because they sound 'really cool'

"I am playing around but i know exactly what im doin..."

Obviously you don't.

"What the h*** is an emergancy dik..."

Ask your mother.

"I deletet all boot files and installed me in another derectorie"

Not a proper fix, but as long as you're happy with it.

BTW, what kinda grades are you getting in English, spelling & grammar? You might wanna consider staying after school for some tutoring or maybe just paying closer attention in class. Summer school is another possibility.

And they wonder why Johnny can't read.

Installing things without even knowing what they are or what problems they can cause doesn't sound too smart. You may want to re-think that approach to software.

See you in the virus forum!
