I stupidly emptied my deleted items.Imagine my horror when i realised that i had also deleted a real important email. So basically im praying that one of you guys can help me retrieve these messages (if indeed it can be done).Im pretty new to this computing thing so if it can be done then please make it as idiot proof as possible, because that is exactly how i feel right now (like an idiot).I will be forever indebted to anyone who can help me. thanks in advance jon :o)
You should tell us what email client you use. Are you talking about a web based email service like hotmail or yahoo? If you deleted items from one of these the back button in your browser usually gives you another shot. If you closed the browser already the back button option is gone.
Well i did say i was an amature at this game didnt I. Sorry i forgot to say that my email client is BT . Hope this helps.

Usually the deleted files will still be in your hard drive. Unless there is more activity in the harddrive like adding a new program or deleting more files, it will not be disturbed. I am not sure how to rescue them but you may find a service provider who can do it for you. There are many s/w to retrieve these files also.
