Try renaming it and/or changing it's attributes...might have to do it Safe Mode.

What exactly are these folders,by the way?

...So...my original suggestion didn't work?

Have you scanned for/removed spyware with SpyBot and AdAware?

...A trojan and/or virus scan?

No, I don't have any of those soft wares.
Where can I get them, and how can I use them to delete the stupid folder?

Update each program before running it,when applicable...and read the help files and FAQ's.If you still need some help,I'm sure someone here will rise to the task.

...so,would it be safe to say that you are not running an AV program on your PC?

That,a firewall (software/hardware,or both),and a spyware blocker and scanner,are all a MUST-HAVE/NO-BRAINER in todays tangled internet web.

Feed us some more info,please...

kennybenny, another thought, you may or may not be aware that if a program within a folder is active, your OS makes it 'off limits' so long as it is in use in order to prevent corruption. Safe mode is a good bet since it restricts the things which are allowed to run.
If you can rename the folders in question, you will in effect 'hide' them from your computer since it won't be able to find the folder(s) using the new name. HTH.

Once you are free of these bugs you can get the free programs that will help keep you virus free......

AVG anti-virus (free version 6)
www.grisoft.com

ZoneAlarm firewall....
www.zonelabs.com

Porno sites, more than most (perhaps) will try to put bugs on your system. A favourite would be premium rate dial up program. The first you would know about one of these is when you get your telephone bill charging you $1 per minute when you thought you were conected via your ISP.

You have to be virus free before you can install an anti-virus program for it work at it's best. A virus that is already on your system may escape detection otherwise.

Ken,

Do as your told ;)

It's very easy to determine.

First download and run FULLY UPDATED versions of Spybot S&D and Ad-aware6

Then run an online virus scan.

Trend Micro - Housecall

Panda Active Scan

Symantec Security Check

Command On Demand Free Scan

BitDefender Free Online Virus Scan

Freedom Online Virus Scan

Run this one seperate. -

TrojanScan

THEN, you download and run HijackThis, and post the log file here (on this thread).

Just so I can see DyFuCaDi again :)

Now don't argue, mother knows best.
