Thanks for the help on the previous desktop question. I am wondering if the 'restore' feature I've heard about also restores things like my screensaver picture and the look of the desktop. I had a photo of my kitty on the desktop and have lost it. I don't have a copy of it! There is nothing that I have added on my computer that is important in the last few weeks. Any downside to using 'restore' feature.

if you have your kitty file still on your PC , yes just try system restore it might work.ciao

Check for bmp files in your Windows directory. Your kitty might still be there. Then you can use the Display control panel to put her back on the desktop where she belongs :^)

i am against cruelty to animals, but you should burn your kitty to a CD.... or if it would help you i can send you my bunny :)... try also looking into your jpg files... your kitty was probably originally in jpg format.... also rigthclick on your desctop... chooze properties and under Background click on Browse... you still might find your kitty sitting somewhere there. :)
