Restore System Windows Me - Failure

I cannot restore my computer. I have found a patch that says it will fix this problem, only it specifies not to restore my computer after september 2002 and my last restore point is NOVEMBER 29th 2002. I donnot know whether to install the patch according to the instuction it will not help me anyways. Any other suggestions out there. PLEASE

Yes, this patch has to be installed inorder to make system restore work correctely, after that you should go to Windows updates and install all the updates.

Hi ppl, I have the same problem with Windows ME, system restore fails to restore again and again... Where can I find this patch you're talking about.

Hi Rony The one patch is available at www.forrestandassociates.co.uk/pcforrest/winme_srr.htm there is also an upgrade for windows me at windows update. Hope this helps you

that patch on the windows update site works great/ i have used it several times (only because I ran McAfee reg. cleaner) I was testing/ since then I have gotten rid of McAfee but I found that regcleaner seems to work very well (& none of my help files disappear) you will find it on www.regcleaner.com or put regcleaner into your search bar (best to use the www address some browsers are hopeless using keywords felix
