When I click on Ctl+Alt+Del, there is a file there that I don't know about. It is named "Residence". I got an error message that it had caused an error in AVICAP.dll. Can someone tell me what Residence is for or how it gets on my computer?
Thanks for the reply. I went to the site you gave me but got "lost" on how to use it to send any more information. Question...is the Residence file that I see when I click Ctrl+Alt+Del coming from a program that is loaded or could it be some kind of a virus or Trojan?

It could be most anything from something you intentionally installed to a trojan etc.;the Process Explorer program should give you information as to what the program is (highlight the process and in the lower half of the window will be displayed information pertaining to the program and what called it etc.)
Otherwise an online virus scan might be a good idea:
