Comment:

I want to replace my SB16 with an SB Audigy card. How do I "remove any existing audio card and its driver"? Is this just a physical removal of the old card, or do I need to do something in Device Manager as well? How do I find the correct driver(s) to uninstall? Thanks for any help.

Reply:

start-settings-control panel-add/remove programs-remove any entries for sb16,
then remove sb16 in device manager,
then power off, remove card ,put new card in
,bootup, windows will now detect new card
have install software ready, or run install software after booting up.probably an autorun cd.
