Removing Compaq from ME

Comment:
I have just installed a new HDD and Norton Ghost. I have a Compaq Presario 5000 with 2HDDs now and have just placed the Cdrive image on my new drive. Now I want to work on that to delete as many things as I can to streamline it to a good working system. I have already disabled Systems Restore and want to know how much other 'Junk' I can remove including Compaqs bundled.....things? The only ME disc I have is combined with the Compaq package, which is usless to me now. Unless there is a way of just lifting the ME OS from it????
All your suggestions will be very welcome (to a point) ;}o-
