Have you tried the following?

Click on Start

Settings

Taskbar and Start Menu

Advanced (tab at top)

In the window at the bottom uncheck
"Display Logoff"

This help?

Ken thanks but Log Off was already displayed. removing it didn't help, likewise replacing it (both with reboot in between).
By the way I need Log Off to connect my network when the second computer isn't on when I start computer 1 first, You log off and then it asks to log on.
Also if it helps I haven't set a password for the windows login.
