Removal of "My Network Places" icon on desktop?

You really dont want to remove that Icon it controls all network and some internet fuctions.

You can remove it in TweakUI desktop section.You can get TweakUI,by downloading Microsoft PowerToys.

Right click on it and delete it.

TO install TWEAKUI.INF from your WIN98 CD(If you have one), either search for tweakui.inf with file searh. I think tweakui.ing is located in :/win98/tools/reskit/powertoys. SOmething like that........... good luck Once you find TWEAKUI.inf RIGHT click on it and click INSTALL. TWEAKUI will reside in your control panel from their on. LQQK thru each tab, and customize you GUI to how you want it, even deleting MY NETWORK PLACE IS POSSIBLE, but it states it is no guarentee.
