how can i reinstall me (clean install)? with win 98 I just restarted in dos mode and deleted win dir and installed it again but how to do it with ME?

You can do same same but will need to boot from a floppy .

Better to "Format C: /u" or at least also delete the "Progra~1" directoy as well as "Windows". don't forget to copy deltree to your root or a floppy for the job.
