Region-free DVD in ME?

Hi everybody.
I have a problem with my Creative Dxr3 DVD-player. When i ran win98SE I used a neat little thing called "remselect" to remove the region blocking of the DVD-player. After installing winME the region tab in "remselect" isn't there any more!? The program can now only be used to create key-shortcuts for the DVD-player... So I'm stuck with a bunch of region 1 & 2 DVDs and a player who only plays region 2...anybody? Also - I used to run dualboot with Win ME & 2000 ... I don't anymore, how do I get rid of the boot menu?
